Each tour features stops that look at 17th-century historical themes through the eyes of the Powhatan Indians, English settlers and first documented west central Africans in Virginia. Begin by learning about an artifact, object or exhibit and then explore each topic further through videos, dramatic readings, imagery and primary sources. Look for digital markers in the indoor gallery and scan them to unlock content at each stop. In the outdoor living history areas, digital tour users will receive messages within the app when content is unlocked. Use the 3D gallery and living history area maps to navigate through the tour.
