Jamestown-Yorktown Foundation volunteers support Jamestown Settlement and the American Revolution Museum at Yorktown in a variety of ways throughout the year.

Summer 2024 Youth Volunteer Opportunities

Youth volunteers have the opportunity to assist with summer history camps and play period games as well as train to become a museum docent or youth historical interpreter. Read the Youth Volunteer Flyer to learn more. To apply, complete and return the applications by April 26, 2024.

Adult Volunteer Opportunities

Volunteers may have the opportunity to:

  • Greet and orient museum visitors
  • Help gift shop customers
  • Conduct visitor research
  • Provide support for special events
  • Accomplish curatorial and clerical projects
  • Maintain and sail the Jamestown Settlement ships
  • Work behind the scenes to support the museums in many other ways
  • Assist interpreters in the living-history areas, galleries and orientation tours
